All Creatures Great and Small is located in suburban Rockland County, New York, just an hour's drive from Broadway. We are a 3 doctor companion animal hospital serving a diverse, relatively affluent clientele. In our 30 year history we have built our practice by providing modern progressive care to our patients while maintaining a compassionate practice culture that emphasizes the human animal bond.
Modern 7 year old custom built hospital building sharing 4.5 wooded acres with a small, private, progressive no-kill shelter.
Full in-house 2 year old Idexx laboratory suite plus twice-a-day pickups from Idexx Reference Lab. Both in-house and reference lab results automatically imported to patient records.
Latest Idexx Direct Digital radiology system. Xrays viewable from any workstation.
Paperless practice with using Avimark software. All new state-of-the art hardware.
2 surgical suites with full patient monitoring.
6 custom built anesthesia units using Isoflurane.
Digital Dental x-rays with 2 ultrasonic and high speed dental units.
All exam and treatment room tables have electric lifts.

Rockland County is located less than an hour's drive from midtown Manhattan with all of the cultural amenities than only New York City can provide. While suburban in nature, Rockland is the gateway to a wide array of recreational opportunities in Upstate New York, and about 1/3 of Rockland County land is designated as state parkland. Rockland County is truly the best of both worlds!
Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client a diagnosis of the pet’s problems; generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including vaccines and appropriate nutritional products.
Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and make certain all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols; assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of the patient.
Stay up-to-date with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine, attend Continuing Education meetings.
Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Other duties as assigned.

A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
Experience with exotics is a plus
Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which applicant is to be employed.
