Crescenta Cañada Pet Hospital has been known for providing expert and high-quality veterinarian services to our clients in La Crescenta-Montrose and the surrounding areas. We are a well-established and growing AAHA accredited small animal pet hospital. Since 1958 we have been a part of this great community, small town feel with big city amenities.
Crescenta Cañada Pet Hospital is a modern facility, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, Companion laser, digital dental x-ray, complete Idexx in hospital lab and fully paperless on Cornerstone software. Our doctors practice modern, progressive medicine with amazing patients and clients!
Our medical team schedule allows for true work life balance, work only 4 days a week with rotating weekends.
Associate Veterinarians deliver high quality medical, surgical and dental care to patients while educating clients on their pet’s health care needs. They work with the Medical Director to define and implement hospital protocols and procedures that ensure quality care to our clients and their pets. They also perform a management role in new business development, staff continuing education and marketing activities. They are considered leaders in the practice in that they set the tone and the standards of the practice.
Performs physical exams and other appropriate diagnostic procedures; diagnoses medical and surgical conditions and presents clients with appropriate treatment plans.
Performs medical; surgical and dental procedures; provides emergency services in accordance with hospital policy.
Promptly and accurately updates client records.
Plans and carries out a program of personal continuing education
Supervises veterinary assistants and technicians; work with them to assess their current skill level and to plan and implement their continuing education and growth.
Delivers in-house training to the hospital staff.
Is accessible by staff while maintaining doctor/staff professional relationship.
Participate in staff training and staff meetings.
Works toward and attains hospital productivity standards.
Works with Medical Director to set hospital medical protocols and procedures; performs all duties in accordance with them.
Works with the Medical Director on plans for developing and growing the business.
Is active in professional organizations.
Ensures that appropriate take home instructions are complete and report cards complete to fully educated clients on their pet’s healthcare needs.
Takes time to communicate effectively with clients, presenting them with treatment plans and being sensitive to their emotional status.
Set an example for the staff in dealing with clients; promotes the concept of the client-centered environment.
Helps to develop new programs and processes that meet clients’ changing needs.
Assists the marketing effort by participating in community activities that focus on the veterinary profession.
Communicates objectives, motivates staff, builds and maintains morale.
Takes an active role in hospital staff meetings.
Promotes cooperative working environment among staff members; understands the value of teamwork; shows enthusiasm and willingness to perform as necessary to help the hospital function as a unit.

Crescenta Canada Pet Hospital is a well established AAHA accredited practice serving the Crescenta Valley communicates since 1958. We are a 4 doctor practice with an emphasis on preventative care. Our practice is fully paperless utilizing Idexx Conerstone practice management software.
