Pilchuck Veterinary Hospital is accepting applications for an experienced Ambulatory Associate. Duties to include approximately 85% Equine and 15% small ruminants and camelids. Work will include farm calls, haul-in facility appointments. Ambulatory emergency coverage on a shared rotation basis. Good communication skills with clients a must. Ambulatory caseload varies from routine care (vaccines, dentistry, and preventive medicine) to advanced lameness diagnostics and therapeutics for horses, as well a small ruminant/llama/alpaca component to the caseload, comfort with these species is a plus. Our practice interns rotate through ambulatory as well and a desire and willingness teach and mentor interns is a component of the position. We are looking for a motivated individual to service our diverse clientele and maintain and grow the practice.
We are a progressive multi-doctor multi-species practice located in beautiful Western Washington. Location best of both worlds, 30 minutes from Seattle yet the practice is located in a growing rural setting. Majority of farm calls are located within a 30-mile radius of the clinic. Productive educated support staff, 23 acre facility, Digital X-Ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, MRI, Scintigraphy, in-house lab and fully staffed equine referral hospital. Salary will be commensurate with experience and includes base, plus a percentage of revenue accumulated above base salary.
