We are seeking a candidate who is comfortable having a great work-life balance as a veterinarian (no workaholics, please). We need someone who will be excited to see patients and clients every day AND enjoy going home on time (you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here after 5:30pm). We need a team member who will look forward to collaborating with the team on new and interesting cases (we see bald eagles!!).
We need a new full-time veterinarian, or 2 part-time veterinarians, who fits these criteria at Everett Veterinary Hospital & Boarding House in Klamath Falls, Oregon. Due to our high standards of veterinary medicine, our excellent client service, and philosophy of preventive medicine, we have grown to be an exemplary hospital and boarding facility since 1992. We are very proud to be AAHA accredited and we are the only hospital to have that accreditation within 100 miles. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone to join a hospital with an excellent reputation.
While the majority of our practice is caring for dogs and cats, about 10% of our patients include exotic animals, pocket pets, and birds. A minimum of 1 year of experience with dogs and cats in preventative care, diagnostics, surgery, and radiology is a must. A desire to learn about exotics, pocket pets, and birds is required; any experience, including only observing exotic cases, is welcome.
Our large, loyal client base loves our compassionate, fun-loving, and motivated team since our two certified veterinary technicians, two veterinary assistants, boarding staff, and receptionists always put the patient first. According to many of our clients, the team is "awesome". With our staff’s high level of training, it allows the doctor to work as a doctor, focus on quality patient care and a great doctor-client relationship, and have exciting experiences as a veterinarian. We have a beautifully spacious 8000 square-foot state-of-the-art hospital that is well-equipped and meets the standard of veterinary care.
Klamath Falls is a beautiful family community located in the sun belt of southern Oregon. With an average of 310 days of sunlight a year, we are fortunate to be able to experience all four seasons. Klamath Falls is located centrally between Portland and Sacramento on a large lake near the Cascade mountain range. Our city has many outdoor amenities including fishing and boating, hiking, biking, camping, hunting, and golfing. We have several annual events that attract people from afar. The Winter Wings event brings in thousands of bird watchers, photographers, and wildlife enthusiasts while the Klamath Cruise brings in people that have a love affair with cars and rock & roll. We have two performing arts theaters (one for world-class performers and the other for our local talent).
We love our community and our mission, therefore, love giving back in many ways. Our company donates to local sustainable or animal-welfare related causes as well as international animal-welfare causes such as the local K-9 Unit, Klamath Falls Bark for Life, Helping Rhinos, and the Sloth Sanctuary.
We are looking for an extroverted associate that shares our philosophy to keep our hospital comfortable, personable, and knowledgeable. We are looking for either 2 part-time or 1 full-time associate; a work schedule is negotiable depending on position desired. Benefits include paid relocation reimbursement, sign-on bonus, free housing (yes, you read that right), PTO, personal pet health discounts, SIMPLE IRA plan, professional dues reimbursements, and gym membership reimbursement depending on the salary package chosen and experience. Please note that working some Saturdays is required, but is on rotation and can switch if you need a vacation to get away from us. Because we are in a small community with no emergency service within an hour and a half drive for local clients, after-hours duty is on a rotation with other veterinary hospitals in town and is minimal (an average of once every two weeks).
