The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), a national not-for-profit association, established in 1863 and representing over 93,000 veterinarians working in private and corporate practice, government, industry, academia and uniformed services, is seeking a Market Research Analyst to join our Marketing and Communications team, located in our headquarters office in Schaumburg, IL. Structured to work for its members, AVMA acts as a collective voice for its membership and for the veterinary profession. Our mission is to lead the profession by advocating for our members and advancing the science and practice of veterinary medicine to improve animal and human health.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Digital Communications, the Market Research Analyst will assist in the creation and leadership of market intelligence initiatives and strategies that span analytics, market research, competitive analysis and surveys. Responsibilities include overseeing or contributing to market research projects with other business areas, such as needs assessments, brand tracking research, veterinary economics research and product/program research. This position will work to disseminate insights to relevant internal stakeholders through targeted communications and will ensure that sound market research practices are adhered to, whether executed in-house or through external vendors. Less than 10% travel.

Minimum of 3 years of market research experience, not-for-profit association experience is preferred
BS/BA degree in a related field
Proficiency in online survey programming tools including Qualtrics, Fluid Surveys or other survey programming software
Proficiency in SPSS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skill
Must possess an understanding of the basic functions of marketing and communication
Detail oriented, creative, collaborative and enthusiastic team player
Advanced problem-solving skills
Strong project management skills
