PawSteps Veterinary Center is seeking a Full or Part Time General Practice Veterinarian to be our 4th veterinarian with duties including: wellness care, internal medicine, dentistry, general surgery, and ideally exotic care. You work at your pace to get the job done well as we don't do bandaids. We moved into our newly renovated 7 exam room hospital in the Fall of 2018 and are now associated with our own dog resort providing small group organized daycare and boarding to the area. Our 3 doctor full service general practice offers high-quality care for dogs, cats, and some exotic species and we are looking to grow of our team.
A good sense of humor and predisposition for happiness is a must, an interest in close collaboration with colleagues is critical, and a commitment to continued improvement in patient care and client service are inherent to this position. We are fortunate to have a well educated and experienced staff, including 6 CVTs, that allows doctors to spend time working up cases, developing relationships with clients and their pets, as well as working efficiently and effectively. We invest in our clients, staff, and each other so you will be asked to take time to develop these relationships. We are well well-equipped with: computerized medical records, digital and dental radiology, a full complement of in-house laboratory equipment, a local reference lab, dental equipment, cryosurgery probe, therapeutic & surgical laser, and an in-house ultrasound. Our relationships and our proximity to both academic and private emergency veterinary centers allows us to focus on developing client relationships, focus on preventive care, and work up complicated medicine cases with the support of area specialists.
Some general practice experience or an internship is preferred, but new graduates are also welcome to apply.
