Nestled in the beautiful Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts, we are a fast-paced, open admission adoption center that takes in 6,000 animals each year. We are looking for the perfect people to join our veterinary team!
Dakin is looking to add to our staff of veterinarians. We serve animals and our community in many ways and we are sure there is something for everyone. Are you a Spay/Neuter expert, a Vaccine Clinic Rockstar, or do you prefer Shelter or Community Medicine? Excellent compensation for the right candidate. Flexibility in scheduling (full-time, part-time, and per diem opportunities are available), generous paid time off as well as paid continuing education days and reimbursement for professional memberships, and required licensing/insurance. You may also qualify for student loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program. As a full-time employee, you will also receive extremely generous PTO!
Graduation from a university or college accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor degree.
Licenses and Certification:
Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
DEA license for controlled substances.

How We are Funded
We do not receive any government funding nor are we funded or operated by any national humane organization. We rely solely on contributions from individuals who care about animals to bring our services to the community. We also depend on the dedication of nearly 600 volunteers who work alongside our staff to help us care for animals, deliver our programs, and govern our organization.
