OSVS is a privately owned hospital in a 26,000sf building, with a very busy emergency service and specialists in internal medicine, surgery, radiology, critical care, neurology, cardiology, oncology, ophthalmology, clinical pathology and avian/exotics. Emergency doctors work a combination of day, swing and night shifts, and play an important role in training interns. We are located in Rhode Island, the beautiful Ocean State – in the heart of southern New England. There is extensive in-house continuing education, and we support annual education at national conferences. The strong internship and residency programs create a constant learning environment. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Completion of a high quality internship in small animal medicine and surgery or 1-2 years in a high quality practice that does emergency work. Eligibility to obtain a license to practice in Rhode Island. Graduates of schools not accredited by the AVMA must have completed the ECFVG or PAVE programs as well as having completed an internship in the United States or Canada. |
