Pleasant Plains Animal Hospital, located in Staten Island, NY is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join our expanding 7 doctor practice. PPAH is a small animal/exotic practice offering medical, surgical, and dental services for dogs and cats, reptiles, exotics and avian. We are a modern practice, with 2 locations, equipped with digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, surgical suite, dental station, and a spacious treatment area. Our staff is dedicated, talented and compassionate and our clientele values progressive and preventative medicine. We offer a 2 or 3 to 1 technician to doctor ratio and are fortunate to have a highly skilled technical staff who we can trust to assume a large amount of our patient care. The doctor makes the plan, and the technicians implement it.
We all value a good work-life balance. Our doctors have a 4-5-day work week, rotating at both locations, and work 35-40 hours per week on average. Both locations are open 7 days per week. The hours are as follows:
South location- Monday-Friday 9am-10pm, Sat/Sun 8am-6pm
North location- Monday-Friday 9am-6pm, Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 10am-4pm.
We have technician at the south location overnight to assess and direct any emergencies our patients may have. We are open for emergency appointments on holidays, rotating doctors will work and receive paid holiday bonuses.
