| Emergency veterinarians needed for privately owned, busy 7-hospital group with a 12,000 sq. ft. central hospital providing 24-hour hospitalization and emergency services. These AAHA accredited hospitals are located in the Northern Macomb area of Michigan. Facilities are award winning, receiving two Veterinary Economics awards for architecture and are fully equipped. The technical and veterinary staff is experienced and dedicated with a board certified owner (ABVP) and several internship trained veterinarians. The openings are for emergency & critical care veterinarians at the central hospital. The primary responsibility on overnight shifts would be to provide care for the hospitalized patients with the help of a team of dedicated technicians. Additional duties could include emergency surgeries as per the doctor's abilities and comfort level. Outpatient emergency responsibilities are not required on overnight shifts. On day shifts, you would join the other staff ER veterinarians in the triage and care of incoming emergencies and urgent care/ walk in appointments. Patients may be treated as outpatients, or admitted for hospitalization or surgery as needed. Position requires 40 hours per week and offers very flexible scheduling- basically you tell us what percentage of days vs overnights you want to work and we will accommodate your schedule!
