Are you an experienced or intern-trained clinician interested in making a transition from the "front lines" to managing hospitalized patients? Are you seeking the following from your work environment:
1. CULTURE - Culture takes work to make sure the RIGHT people are in the RIGHT positions to continue to foster the established culture as well as to help it grow in the right direction. Does the practice invest time and resources to ensure the culture is maintained?
2. FLEXIBILITY - does the employer care about YOU as an individual? Do they offer a work schedule that takes YOUR needs into consideration and balances them with the needs of the hospital?
3. GROWTH - does the employer support your continued professional development in both clinical arenas as well as leadership skills? Does the employer support the learning of new skills and the addition of new equipment such that you can advance your skills and continue to practice the highest standards of care? And what about personal growth - does the employer truly honor a work-life balance such that you can have hobbies and find enjoyment in activities outside of work?
4. WELL-BEING - and this includes ALL staff. Does the employer support the well-being of ALL staff members such that the work environment is an inclusive and healthy work space for all?
5. COMMUNITY PRESENCE - does the employer recognize the variable financial status of its clientele (including rescue organizations) and forge relationships with various financial aid groups to try to help those pets and pet owners in need receive care (who otherwise could not afford care)? Does the employer work with the local police department to advocate for pets of abuse and neglect so that they have a voice?
We check ALL those boxes above.
