Seeking an associate veterinarian to join a rapidly growing young veterinary practice. We are large animal only with a predominant equine caseload with some cattle and a rapidly growing small ruminant patient base. The ideal candidate would be a person with a passion for improving the medicine and services we can provide to continue to grow the practice. Our client base is a mixture of backyard companion horses, trail horses, english performance/dressage, and western horses. There is currently a large need for lameness and dentistry services as well as a desire for reproductive services if the applicant is interested in growing this side of the business. Full time veterinarians work a 4 day work week with equally shared on-call. We are located in the beautiful northwestern part of North Carolina and spend a great deal of our time in the highland areas around Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk. This provides a great escape from the heat in the summer as well as wonderful opportunities for those that love to spend time outdoors, hiking, trail riding and escaping the city while still close enough to benefit from them. There are many great concert venues and activites year round including 3 ski slopes, the blue ridge parkway and great equestrian opportunities.
