We have an amazing team who supports our outstanding patient care, and we are expanding! We are currently seeking an Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our exceptional team of highly skilled professionals committed to providing the best emergency and urgent care services available. This role is joining our night-shift weekend team and would be assigned to work shifts on Thurdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 7PM-7AM.
Key Responsibilities:
Provides compassionate care to patients and clients
Keeps accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
Prepares and maintains the exam rooms and treatment areas
Performs physical assessments and records observations
Restrains pets
Prepares estimates for procedures and discusses financial commitments with clients
Explains necessary follow up and homecare instructions
Stocks clinic treatment area and exams rooms
Assists the Veterinarian in medical and surgical procedures; prepares patients for surgery; administers anesthesia; monitors patients during surgery and recovery; administers fluids
Cares for all surgical materials; keeps the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery
Veterinary Emergency Center of Canton is an emergency and urgent care hospital that o?ers advanced veterinary care including board certi?ed surgery, digital radiology, pro?cient support sta?, critical care and in house diagnostics and pharmacy in a family atmosphere. Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT) or License (LVT) is preferred but not required
3+ years of veterinary technician experience
Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
Proficiency in phlebotomy, radiology, and basic ER procedures
