Responsible for the supervision of the clinical training of students. This function is used to describe instructional academic staff positions in the health sciences and other academic disciplines with clinical practices. Clinical titles must have the approval of an academic department. Modified professorial functions have three prefixes or levels: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor. The specific definition of each level for professorial academic staff titles is left to the purview of each unit in which the title is employed. However, differences between successively higher title levels must reflect demonstrable differences in experience and knowledge gained, applied to the specific duties of the function.

An individual with American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) board certification or who is ACVS board eligible with advanced training in orthopedic surgery is preferred. ECVS residency trained individuals will be considered. Must be licensed to practice Veterinary Medicine in the State of Wisconsin.
