Introduction: Are you feeling overworked and underappreciated at your current position? Then we should talk! At Oden Veterinary Hospital, we value the individual and work as a team. Renew your love for veterinary medicine as you work in a warm, friendly environment with manageable caseloads and a commitment to a work/life balance.
About us: We know the work culture of most veterinary clinics can play a major role in our performance and wellbeing, so Dr. Blaine Oden sought to build his own practice that would emphasize compassionate veterinary care and a work/life balance. In 2015, he opened Oden Veterinary Hospital. In the clinic’s early years, our team gathered together and we asked ourselves, “What 4 words best describe what we want to strive for?” Together we decided on compassion, generosity, integrity, and humility. Today we continue to define how we practice veterinary medicine based on those key terms. We all strive to provide compassionate, loving care to our patients and to be honest with every client. Our clients may not always remember the medical aspect, but they will remember the excellent customer service and care they received for their pet. Everyone on our team is essential and we are able to rely on one another for support both at the clinic and outside of the clinic.
About This Role: As a veterinary professional, you most likely understand the everyday requirements of being an excellent clinical veterinarian. These are some key skills we seek that are particularly important to our clinic:
-Practice high quality medicine by providing thorough physical exams and diagnostics to develop treatments for patients’ short-term and long-term illnesses. -Consult directly with clients on the best route for treatments and every day care for their pets. -Surgical skills involving common procedures such as spays and neuters or soft tissue procedures would be highly regarded but not necessary. -The ability to prepare and deliver client and team education regarding newer standards of patient care in order to improve our clinic’s practices.
-The ability to manage your daily work load. Our staff takes into account what you think you can handle on a day-to-day basis without overbooking or adding too much to your work load. We don’t want you to feel like you need to handle more than you are capable of.
About You: Your medical capabilities will certainly be essential to your success in this role but we also value these qualities: -Have a passion for providing compassionate care to patients. -The ability to establish mutual trust and respect with the team and clients by quickly building a rapport. -Can work independently but will ask for assistance knowing that quality results can be achieved through teamwork. -Respond to setbacks that will inevitably happen with grace and positivity. -Seek knowledge and be an integral part of change based on sound, professional recommendations.
